Drax was the older brother of Uxas (later named Darkseid) of Apokolips. He reluctantly agreed to assume the 'god power' and rule Apokolips but was betrayed by Desaad, Uxas’ minion, and ended up on another world where he mastered another type of power - that of infinity. This eventually led to him becoming the Infinity Man, who would later be summoned by the Forever People.
