Witchblade Bearer, Image / Top Cow

Shiori-sama is a Witchblade Bearer from feudal Japan, 1632. She was the wife of the ruler of the kingdom, Nabushige. One day a man named Tsunemoto attacks the kingdom and kills Nabushige. He sends Shiori-sama into exile. She wanders Japan with dreams about her dead husband and blade which calls to her. She searches for the blade, making friends along her journey, and when they arrive at Mt. Kurama, she comes upon the Witchblade. She and her female friends return to her kingdom, defeat Tsunemoto, and Shiori-sama rules the kingdom with her female warrior-friends defending it from invaders.
