Persephani is the daughter of Lord Gourge in the Gourge Kingdom in the far future. Since her birth, Persephani has had an aching pain in her right arm. One day, she goes into the sewers, guided by the voices in her head, and she is found by a bounty hunter named Tommi X-9. The two women discover they have been set up by Lord Gourge and Persephani learns that the pain in her arm is actually the Witchblade. She embraces the power of the gauntlet and she and Tommi X-9 destroy the Gourge Kingdom.
