Lazarus is Domino's brother, and similarly to her, he was a product of a top-secret government project to create 'the perfect weapon' but unlike Domino, Lazarus was considered a successful creation. Though he was allowed to grow at a normal rate, he was separated from others (except for doctors) during his development, resulting in stunted social development. Lazarus can sense emotions and has powers of mind control which create a blissful state in the controlled, such that once Lazarus has removed the mind control, the afflicted commits suicide out of desperation and withdrawal. Domino takes Lazarus away from the facility in which she finds him, but when he senses the violence, pain, and hatred felt by those outside the facility, he releases his power to prevent people from hurting each other. Domino and her mother (due to their being Lazarus' relations) are immune to the attack, and so Domino ends up having to shoot their mother to protect Lazarus (though it is implied that their mother finds and kills him regardless).
