Britney Waters, also Red Riding Hood, is a character in the Zenescope Entertainment comics universe adapted from the public domain fairy tale character, Little Red Riding Hood. Though little is known of Britney's origin, she suffered fugue states in her childhood and, at another point in her youth, her father died in a car accident. As a result of her interaction with Sela's book of fairy tales, she becomes a psychiatrist with the intent of helping others, but she also learns to confront her own past. She realizes that the fugue states she thought were a psychological symptom are actually part of a skill she possesses in animal control, and she is later recruited by Sela and Samantha because of her ability to help the guardians of the nexus. Britney went on a series of solo missions, primarily in pursuit of Robyn Locksley (during the 'Robyn Hood vs. Red Riding Hood' event), whom she thought a murderer and Falseblood. This rivalry ended in a ceasefire lasting as long as Robyn doesn't kill another human. After her Japanese training in sword combat and martial arts following Samantha's identification of Britney as a Falseblood, her other powers also develop more: she is ultimately able not only to communicate with all animals and control them, but also to shape-shift into a werewolf, though her control of this skill needs practice to limit the dangers involved.
