Ivana Baiul

Ivana Baiul has served as the leader of the team DV8 as well as the director of Sci-Tech, the scientific division of I.O. (International Operations). Her job at Sci-Tech was to create genetically-enhanced soldiers for the government, but she had 12 runs which ended in failure, so for the 13th run, she targeted the children of Gen 12, hoping they would be pre-conditioned for the process. Her first two recruits, Bliss and Threshold, were taken right after their parents were killed and the rest taken were put into suspended animation. Aided by John Lynch, some of these subjects escaped and formed the group, Gen 13, which later broke into the facility and forced Baiul to flee with some of her subjects including Bliss and Threshold. Once in New York, Baiul woke the suspended members of her team and created DV8. Through blackmail, Baiul became Executive Director of I.O. and though her position and agency may fluctuate, she always finds her way into top government offices where she wreaks havoc on teams like Gen 13 and various Stormwatch incarnations. Baiul has replaced much of her body with synthetic parts (total extent to which she is a cyborg is unknown), and no longer stores her consciousness or brain in her body. She cannot be killed with a shot to the head.
