Daughters of the ambassador Cartier St. Croix, Claudette and Nicole St. Croix are twin sisters and also sister of Monet and Marius (who later became Emplate). Nicole is a talkative girl while Claudette is autistic. Marius killed their mother and after turned Monet into a red muted being. When the sisters saw them, Claudette used her powers to banish them to another dimension. Later, when they realized that their sister are also missing, they worried about their father mental state and merged completely their bodies and mind to replicate their sister, Monet. While merged, they enrolled at the Xavier's Academy and became M. After a while, the twins became Penance instead of Monet, merged with their brother to became M-Plate, and in Krakoa, are finally separated as the M-Twins.
