Aswad appears to be a creature made of darkness who can manifest large claws with which to eviscerate her enemies, and can also become intangible. She can expand the matter she is made of to blind people within a space, and she can teleport (perhaps by warping to a shadow dimension and then back to Earth). She was a part of a group of terrorists who launched an attack on the UN headquarters in New York that was foiled by Team Achilles. Only Aswad and Hassan i-Sabbah managed to escape Achilles' counterattack.
