Thomas Oscar Morrow (a.k.a. T. O. Morrow) was originally named Tomek Ovadya Morah and born in a town outside Warsaw, Poland during the 1930s. After WWII the family moved to Connecticut, USA and changed their names. Interested in the future, Morrow created a "Fourth-Dimensional Grapple Beam" with which he could transport future technologies to himself in the present. Attempting to follow the suggestions of a supercomputer he obtained with this creation, he created the Red Tornado and tried to destroy the Justice Society of America on Earth-Two. When this attempt failed, Morrow was imprisoned. The supercomputer later predicts Morrow's death incorrectly, and instead of dying, he is split into two beings and sent to alternate dimensions. The "original" Morrow is sent to an alien planet he discovers he can control mentally with the aid of a Power Sceptre he found there. Morrow is ultimately defeated and sent back to Earth-One for imprisonment again.
