Paul Sloane, an actor, was playing Harvey Kent in a biography film about Two-Face. A jealous prop man switched out the water that was to be used for the trial scene with acid. Sloane was horribly disfigured. His mind snapped, and he chose to become the new Two-Face. Batman eventually tricked the villain into undergoing reconstructive surgery, which cured his mental illness.
