Emmanuel, also known as the 24-Hour Man, was a unique being with a life span of only 24 hours. He was conceived when a creature named G'Rath impregnated a human woman, and his purpose was to find a mate for G'Rath in order to ensure the survival of their species. When Killraven and his group of rebels known as the Freemen passed through the city of Atlanta, Emmanuel kidnapped Carmilla Frost and brought her to G'Rath to be impregnated. However, the Freemen were able to rescue Carmilla and kill G'Rath, leading to Emmanuel's death after his 24-hour lifespan expired.
