Derek Raston, the President of Megaform Industries, under the mind-control of Hector Hammond, created a robot named "Ace" that could pass as human. Using the alias "Wild Card", Hammond instructed Ace to assemble a new Royal Flush Gang. Elongated Man and Black Canary fought the mind-controlled Reston, which ended with him being knocked out. When he woke up, Reston had no memory of the fight nor the robot.
