Agnes Oakley is the mother of Annie Oakley (1955 version). When Annie was a child, Agnes rode out after some cattle thieves and was never seen again. When she confronted them, she was shot off her horse and she hit her head, causing her to lose her memory completely. The gang groomed her to become one of them and she was thereafter known as 'Shot-Gun Sadie'. It wasn't until years later that she regained her memories and was reunited with her daughter and husband.
