Son of Sylvester John Pemberton and Gloria Pemberton. Adoptive brother of Merry Creamer (Merry the Gimmick Girl) and Breezy. He also had an unnamed older brother (father of Arthur Pemberton). Uncle of Arthur Pemberton (Number One), Henry King Jr. (Brainwave Jr., son of Merry), and Jacqueline Pemberton (Gimmick Girl / Gimmix, daughter of Merry). The Star-Spangled Kid was the partner of Stripesy (Pat Dugan). They were lost in time in 1948, along with the rest of the Seven Soldiers of Victory, and were finally rescued by the Justice League and Justice Society and brought to the present day.
