Lemonade Kid is the secret identity of Tex Mason, the foreman of the ranch owned by 12-year-old orphan Bobby Benson. Tex Mason is a fictional western cowboy who first appeared as a supporting character on the radio program *Bobby Benson and the B-Bar-B Riders*, which debuted in 1932 under the name Buck Mason. The following year, his name was changed to Tex Mason. At Magazine Enterprises, Tex Mason adopted the masked persona of the Lemonade Kid, similar to other cowboy heroes published by the company such as Red Mask. He also starred in his own feature within the comic book *Bobby Benson’s B-Bar-B Riders*.
