Freki is sinister wolf (canis dirus, a species of wolf that lived about ten millennia ago) from Asgard. In the company of Geri, he loyally serves Odin Borson, whom he accompanies into battle and for whom he is the messenger. Freki is inspired by the Freki wolf of Scandinavian mythology.
