Achilles

Achilles was the son of Thetis, a Nereid, and Peleus, the king of the Myrmidons. When Achilles was born, Thetis tried to make him immortal by dipping him in the river Styx, however because she held him by his left heel, he was left vulnerable in that one spot. Achilles was killed by an arrow shot by Paris and guided by Apollo into his heel.
