The adoptive father of Dane Dorrance was a frogman in World War II who earned a special set of flippers while working on Underwater Demolition Team Four. He told Dane that he would pass them onto him when he earned them. After Dane formed the Sea Devils, his fathered offered him the flippers, but Dane insisted that his entire team deserved a chance to prove that they deserved them. In the end, it was Nicky Walton who took the prize.
