from G.I. Joe, Serpentor project clone
Alexander first appeared in G.I. Joe #23 (2003-10), published by Image. 6 appearances are indexed across 2 series.
Alexander is a genetically engineered synthetic human created by [gcd_link_character](8746) during the project to create [gcd_link_character](8846). Named after [Alexander the Great](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_the_Great), one of the genetic donors to Serpentor, Alexander is one of nine successful clone subjects created before the rapid-growth process was perfected, causing them to age at a slower rate. All nine, along with [gcd_link_character](68097), a tenth successful clone subject, were raised in secret by Mindbender until the doctor's death and Cobra's later disbandment, at which point all were taken into the custody of the United States government and placed in separate foster homes by [gcd_link_group](2985). All were later abducted by a resurrected Serpentor and agents of the Coil, a [gcd_link_group](215) faction loyal to Serpentor. Alexander maintains a mental link with the [other clones](https://www.comics.org/keyword/Serpentor%20project%20clones/character/) and Serpentor himself. He may also possess some latent, very low-level psychic abilities.
