Brian Van Patrick is an American farmer and the father of Michael “MVP” Van Patrick, raised in Bulls Gap after using his grandfather Dr. Abraham Erskine’s long-term diet and exercise research to build a successful organic food business. He tested that regimen on his son, who developed peak human physical abilities. Brian resisted superhero involvement for Michael, fearing the risks to his son’s well-being, and later opposed his participation with New Warriors and Counter Force.
