Ultraa was born on an alien world. While still an infant, he was sent to Earth to escape his world's destruction. His ship landed in the Australian Outback, and he was raised by Indigenous Australians under the name Jack Grey. When he reached adulthood, Ultraa planned to go to the United States and become the Earth's first superhero. He was mistaken for a villain by the Justice League, who had traveled to his universe from Earth-One. Ultraa eventually decided Earth-Prime was not ready for superheroes, and he accompanied the Justice League back to their world.
