Engraver, draftsman, Olivier Deprez was born in 1966 in Binche in Belgium and now lives in the south of France. Founding member of the Frigoproduction collective, of Fréon and FRMK editions, he is a writer, theoretician, painter. He has taught in several graduate schools of graphic arts. A keen reader of Proust, Dante and Joyce, he also works around the work of the American poet A. R. Ammons. In 2006, he took part in the theatrical project The Attendants gallery. It was on this occasion that he met comedian Miles O’Shea and created the RollingTowerTable with him. This machine for printing and peddling engravings is at the center of BlackBookBlack, a project dedicated to engraving and books.
