Spyros Verykios is a Greek visual artist. From 1995 to 2005 his comic stories were published in the "Babel" and "Para Pente" Greek comic magazines. Six of them have been translated internationally in "Blue" (Italy), "Stripburger" (Slovenia), "Dangerous Ink" (UK), "Heavy Metal Magazine" (US), and in "C'est Bon Anthology" and by Wormgod (Sweden). His graphic novel "I don't want to dream, I don't want to wake up" (Δεν θέλω να ξυπνήσω δεν θέλω να ονειρεύομαι) was published by Babel in 1999 (Greece) and by CBA in 2007 (Sweden). He has also worked in animation and as a magazine and book illustrator. His work has been presented in numerous exhibitions internationally, both group and solo, and has also been an exhibition curator. Since 2005 he has been teaching at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University (Greece) where he is currently an Assistant Professor.
