Robin Moore has 5 credited comics indexed across 4 series, working as writer.
Moore was decorated in WWII serving as nose gunner with U.S. Army Air Forces. As a civilian, he trained with U.S. Army Special Forces and was assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group on deployment to South Vietnam, the experience that was the basis for his best selling book, "The Green Berets" from 1965, which was later made into the major motion picture of the same name, starring John Wayne. Moore co-wrote the lyrics to the popular song "The Ballad of the Green Berets", an internationally popular song which was also in the movie. Robin Moore also created The Green Berets comic strip, reprints of which are indexed here at the Grand Comics Database. His other international success was the book The French Connection from 1969, also made into a major motion picture (1971).
